I guess a couple reasons for this is: 1. To keep some interest and not have a week with "no pro football" before the Super Bowl . . . and
2. Help strengthen interest in the Pro Bowl which has been sliding in the ratings the last few years.
I guess they will still rotate with Honolulu every few years. The NFL probably has a good idea here? The Pro Bowl selections who will play in the Super Bowl will not play. They don't care - they're in the big one anyway. The only players it will hurt would be those (1st year selections) who play in the Super Bowl. The real question is? Saints or Colts? Tacos or Pizza? Bud or Miller?
